Weapon description
CZ vz. 27, producer Ceská zbrojovka akc. spol. in Prague, calibre 7.65 mm Browning, made in 1943, eight-round (magazine capacity).
The weapon marking corresponds with the pistols produced in the occupied Protectorate for OKH (Oberkommando des Herres – Main Headquarters of Ground Troops). The pistol is marked on the left side of the slide with the description Pistole Modell 27 Kal. 7.65 indicating in order the model and calibre of the weapon. The top rail of the breech is stamped with the German manufacturer’s marking BOHMISCHE WAFFENFABRIK A. G. IN PRAG, the German army acceptance mark WaA 76 and the serial number.
On the right side of the weapon body, above the stocks, there is the German army eagle acceptance mark WaA76 (the WaA76 mark belonged to the weapons inspector Kieserwetter from the acceptance department of the army armaments office – Heereswaffenamt). On the right side there is still a German verification mark in the form of an eagle with a cross on the barrel in the cartridge ejection hole.
The pistol surface is finely blackened and sanded. Bakelite brown stocks (Textoplast No.15) in a circle with matching CZ logo.
Blackened magazine, matching the year of manufacture, marked P.Mod.27 on the underside.
