Weapon description
CZ vz. 27 with extended barrel, producer Ceská zbrojovka akc. spol. in Prague, calibre 7.65 mm Browning, made in 1945, eight-round (magazine capacity).
This gun is a CZ vz. 27 pistol of the third German variant with an extended barrel, made for the purpose of mounting the Haube L31 silencer according to the Arado design pattern, developed by Schneider-Opel, Berlin. The weapon designation corresponds with the pistols of the third German variant produced in the occupied Protectorate for the OKH (Oberkommando des Herres). The pistol is marked on the left side of the slide with the description fnh Pistole Modell 27 Kal. 7.65 indicating in order the German manufacturer’s code, model and weapon calibre.
The top rail of the slide is stamped with the German army verification mark Eagle with a cross and the serial number behind it. The right side also bears stamped the German verification mark in the form of an Eagle with a cross on the barrel in the cartridge ejection hole. On the right side, the serial number is stamped on the weapon body at the end below the barrel.
The pistol surface is treated with standard phosphating. Bakelite brown stocks (Textoplast No. 15) with matching circle.
Blackened magazine, matching the year of manufacture, marked P.Mod.27 on the underside.
