Weapon description

Walther PP, manufactured by Waffenfabrik Walther Zella Mehlis, calibre 7.65 mm Browning, made in 1943, eight-round (magazine capacity).

The weapon designation corresponds with pistols produced in the eighth production variant in the period 1942-45. On the left side of the breech, at its beginning, the pistol is marked with the trademark with the word WALTHER in a pennant at the beginning followed by the mark Waffenfabrik Walther, Zella Mehlis (Thúr) Walthers Patent Cal. 7,65 m/m in two lines, indicating the name of the manufacturer, the location of the manufacturer including the province of Thuringia, the patent designation and the calibre.

Following the inscription is the model designation of the weapon Mod. PP. The serial number is stamped on the right side with the serial designation behind the trigger guard and on the slide of the weapon in front. Also stamped twice more on this side is the Eagle/N civilian verification mark on the barrel in the cartridge ejection window and below it on the pistol breech.
On its surface the pistol features a standard black finish. Corresponding Bakelite black stocks (Trolite made by Trolitan Presswerk) with fish and Walther logo in the flag matching.

The magazine is blackened with seven holes, matching the year of manufacture, marked on the underside with a description consisting of the Walther trademark in the pennant and below it the PP model of the weapon and the 7.65 m/m calibre.
