Weapon description
Producer Waffenfabrik Walther Zella-Mehlis, calibre 7.65 mm Browning, made in 1935, seven-shot (magazine capacity)
The designation of the gun corresponds with pistols produced in the third production variant in the period 1931-35. The pistol is marked on the left side of the slide with the trademark with the word WALTHER in a pennant at the beginning and then in two lines with the mark Waffenfabrik Walther, Zella Mehlis (Thúr) Walthers Patent Cal. 7.65 m/m, indicating the name of the manufacturer, the location of the manufacturer including the province of Thuringia, the patent designation and the calibre.
Following the inscription is the model designation of the weapon Mod. PPK and the mark of the Reich Ordnance Office (Reichszeugmeisterei) with the letters RZM in a circle. The RZM marking indicates that the weapon was intended for NSDAP party functionaries. On the right side, the serial number is stamped on the frame of the weapon behind the hammer. On this side the civilian verification mark Crown is stamped twice more with a cross/N on the barrel in the cartridge ejection window and below it on the slide of the pistol.
The pistol has standard gloss black surface finish. Bakelite brown stock with black herringbone marks and Walther logo in the flag are corresponding.
Black six-hole magazine with bakelite dot on the bottom in the color of the stocks, matching according to year of manufacture. Marked on the underside with the Walther trademark in flag.
