Weapon description
Manufactured by C. G. Haenel Waffen- und Fahrrad- Fabrik, calibre 7,92 x 33 mm Kurz, made in 1944, 30 round magazine supply.
On the left side of the gun is successively marked on the sealing screw above the barrel with the serial code fxo of the manufacturer C.G.Haenel, on the frame of the gun above the magazine with the serial number and the letter of the series and after the slash with the year of manufacture 44. On the left side, below the hole on the bolt lever, the rifle is also marked with the model of the weapon MP 43.
The right side is without marking. The manufacturing and serial numbers are located on the connecting frame underneeth the stock, the production code is stamped in front of it cos of the subcontractor Merz-Werke Metallwarenfabrik. From the underside, the gun is also marked on the frame in front of the magazine again with the manufacturer’s code fxo, the acceptance mark in the form of an eagle with a cross, twice the acceptance mark of the acceptance officer for the C.G.Haenel factory in the form of an eagle with the number 37 and the assembly mark u.
The handover mark Eagle 37 is also found on the muzzle of the gun located on the barrel. A matching leather strap accompanies the weapon. The gun is worn with original blackening.
The magazine is 30-round, matching the type of gun, originally blackened. Marked on the left side below according to weapon model MP 43 and on the right side also marked below with manufacturer’s code fxo and acceptance mark eagle 37.
